Our Illustrators

Anne Gasser
Ann is my friend, neighbour and artist who always gets the bonkers side of my work, and reacts to it perfectly. She illustrated 'The wasps nest at the hair dressers', 'Ghost wanted' and 'The poultrygeist'. She is also contributing to "The slug who wanted sandals" and 'Yahboohoos' which is coming out in 2027. She describes her work as naïve and its 'simplicity' is very deceiving. A great family person, avid reader and my wonder wall at all times.

Imy McGregor
Imy is a digital artist who creates whimsical illustrations that bring a little touch of magic to every page. Living with anxiety, she has always found comfort in escaping through art, using her imagination to create magical worlds. Imy hopes to share the same sense of wonder, comfort and escapism with every reader who opens one of our books. Imy has worked on 2 verses for "The slug who wanted sandals." She likes to hide little easter eggs in for people she loves, so if you know her, keep your eye out. There may just be something in there for you to find.

Ellie
Currently a primary student, Ellie emerged as the clear winner of our competition to illustrate "Spud" four years ago. As she prepares to journey into high school this September, her artistic talent and creative drive only continue to flourish. She is also a lead contributor to "The slug who wanted sandals" our festive book of rhymes arriving for Christmas 2026.

Jackie
Jackie is my niece albeit by about 3 years. Long story. She sees the world in the most unique way, and for as long as i can remember was a lover of growing and all the creatures she encountered during it, including her beloved late husband Edward. An expert horticulturalist and self confessed lover of cream cakes and sloe gin, her perception and sense of fun gave a face/s to the illusive ploncupi. She started this illustrated journey. I love her more than she knows.

Ruby Cammack
Ruby is my youngest son in laws niece. Like Ellie she has a deep love for art. Ruby is a Academy pupil in Norfolk. She was a primary pupil when she part illustrated 'Spud' with Ellie. For 'Spud' she set her background and then created figures that could be placed. Ruby is taking exams soon and expects an A in art! I think we will see more of her work in the future.

My Story - Susan Mary Mullin
I’m a local Independent author, working with my independent illustrators, to create unique children’s books with a real love for the characters and the
story. I came to Suffolk at fourteen from London, and have lived for over 35 years in Norton Subcourse and Thurlton. Two of my books, ‘The PloncupI’,and ‘The Wasps Nest at the Hairdressers’ are inspired by this area. I also write mid grade/young adult fiction, adult short stories and non fiction. Story books often have a message, which is obviously important, but they should also be ‘Just Because’ and fun, the books we all remember with a smile. Wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. A BA (hons), gardener, allotment holder and lover of the garden pond. Upholder of the adage that you are never to old to be naughty.
